Safety and Fellowship with God is experienced within the Covenant marked by participation in the Passover, which is a type for the eternal safety and Fellowship we have in the New Covenant inaugurated by Christ’s blood. It is only by looking to God as revealed in the person of Jesus Christ that we can look at the “dark” side of the Exodus and find a good, glorious, loving Father and not a moral monster.
