Her Life, Her Legacy

Estella Yuk Sin Tsui was born in Hong Kong on September 21, 1955 and grew up in a family with loving parents and ten siblings. She came to know Jesus and accepted Him as her Savior soon after she graduated from high school.

In 1975, Estella moved to the United States to attend college at the University of Houston. During her senior year in college, she received the Lord’s calling for vocational ministry and committed her life to follow and serve Him.

On June 14, 1980, Estella married Emmo Lin. Together, they both enrolled in Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary where Estella majored in childhood education. After their graduation, she and Emmo became local missionaries of Houston Chinese Church, serving in Lubbock and College Station, Texas. In 1984, God blessed them with twin daughters, Hannah and Phoebe.

In 1991, Estella and her family moved back to Houston. She devoted her time to raising her daughters, working at a day school, and holding home summer school for children.

By God’s grace and guidance, Estella responded to God’s call to join the pastoral team of West Houston Chinese Church (WHCC) in 1995 and was responsible for leading the children and women’s ministries. In 2013, Estella transitioned from leading the children’s ministry to devote herself to her calling of family ministry.

In 2015, Estella was ordained as pastor of family ministries at WHCC.

In the final years of her life, Pastor Estella continued to dedicate herself joyfully and faithfully to all that the Lord entrusted to her. She invested in leaders, ministered to many families, and partnered with Pastor Emmo to teach and develop a teacher’s guide for the “Blessed Family series” curriculum they designed together. She loved spending time with Pastor Emmo, their daughters and sons-in-law Nathan and Linton, and grandchildren Adah and Micah.

Pastor Estella left a legacy of a full and fruitful life, marked by God’s love and a lasting impact on a multitude of people. She will be remembered, celebrated, and deeply missed.
